About Dr. Piper Gibson, PhD
Mom. Researcher. Functional Medicine Practitioner. Founder of Regenerating Health.
Before she was helping families professionally, Dr. Piper Gibson was a mother searching for answers for her own child.
Like many parents who find their way to Regenerating Health, she spent years trying to understand symptoms that never seemed to fit neatly into a single diagnosis. What began as a tic disorder diagnosis for her son eventually became a much bigger story. Over time, he experienced tics, sensory challenges, attention and focus difficulties, emotional and behavioral symptoms, sleep issues, digestive concerns, and a growing list of questions that left her searching for a deeper understanding.
She did what most parents do. She consulted specialists, followed recommendations, explored therapies, and tried countless approaches in hopes of helping her child. While some interventions provided temporary improvements, she often felt that important pieces of the puzzle were still missing. The more she observed her son’s experience, the more she realized that symptoms rarely occur in isolation. What appeared to be separate issues often seemed connected in ways that no one was helping her understand.
That realization changed the course of her life.
Determined to better understand what she was seeing, Dr. Gibson returned to school and immersed herself in the study of functional medicine, nutrition, neuroscience, genetics, environmental health, nutrigenomics, and systems biology. What began as a mother’s search for answers evolved into a lifelong passion and ultimately the foundation of her professional work.
Today, Dr. Gibson is the founder of Regenerating Health, an educator, researcher, and international bestselling author who has dedicated her career to helping families navigate complex neurological, behavioral, and chronic health challenges. She works with parents seeking answers for children experiencing tics, anxiety, OCD, sensory sensitivities, emotional dysregulation, attention challenges, sleep disturbances, PANS/PANDAS, and other concerns that often extend beyond a single diagnosis.
Her philosophy is simple: parents deserve more than a label or a wait-and-see approach. They deserve a deeper understanding of the factors that may be contributing to their child’s symptoms and the opportunity to make informed decisions based on a more complete picture of health.
Having walked this path herself, Dr. Gibson understands the frustration, uncertainty, and isolation many families experience when symptoms do not make sense and answers are difficult to find. That personal experience continues to shape her work and fuels her commitment to helping parents connect the dots, uncover overlooked contributors, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and direction.
